Welcome Week!

We hosted a “Clark Park Campout” event for students with live music, snacks, and good conversation! It was so fun, and I met a sweet student named Maddie that just moved in!

Hi! I am so glad you are here! I just wanted to send a quick update about the beginning of the school year. Starting on Saturday, our new freshman and transfer students started moving in to their dorms and apartments.

To kick off the year, we had a corefa (small group leader) prep day where we encouraged our student leaders and gave them tips on how to be faithful and available this week to wherever God may be leading them. As an apprentice, I also began my classes. It has been such a good experience for me! I love the perspective that I gain when reading such large chunks of scripture in one sitting, and I gain so much insight into what I am reading through our textbooks, lectures, and discussions.

In my quiet times this week, I have been reflecting on how good our God is! It is so evident in the Pentateuch that His goodness is the background for everything. One of the women on my staff team recently asked us to join her in a gratitude app where we can share together the good news in our life, and it has been so sweet to share in this with my team. :) What is one thing that you are grateful for this week? Reply to this email and let me know!

I would love for you to be praying that new students would be open to where God is moving as they go out and explore campus, that our corefas would be bold and excited about building new friendships, and that our staff would be energized and encouraged through the work that we do.

Love y’all!
